Lyricism in rap is coming back to the forefront, and NYC-born lyricist Rico Danna is living proof of that. His most recent single, “Gun Squad” is definitely a great first impression for those new to Rico Danna, or just raw hip-hop in general. The Queens-born artist brings straight bars in “Gun Squad,” toting his wordplay ability and gritty NY persona. On a solid path to being one of Queens, NY next top-tier artists in the game, Rico Danna has even received and support and cosigns from Jamaica, Queens megastar Nicki Minaj, for starters — and that says a lot, if not more than enough.
