Self-made entrepreneur Nicole Shiraz is living the American dream while connecting with her Australian roots! Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Shiraz relocated to the United States only three years ago where she worked in Connecticut as a sports broadcaster. Near the end of her contract, she made the choice to stay in the states where she fell in love with the people, culture, and lifestyle. Taking a leap of faith, Shiraz relocated to Los Angeles, California where she decided to put her career as a broadcaster on the back burner.
“I decided to move to LA and that’s where my inspiration when it came to business started because I loved the hustle here” She explained, “I loved the energy in LA, people here just want to be successful. That’s where my drive to become an entrepreneur came from.”
In 2019, Shiraz launched her first business, Boss Ladies, that was inspired by her love for luxury handbags! Her company allowed customers to lease luxury handbags from brands such as Louis Vuitton and Chanel, for weeks or months at a time. Although the brand launched in her home country, Boss Ladies allowed Shiraz to keep up with her luxury lifestyle while becoming a boss babe herself!
“My business went viral in Australia; it was valued at one million dollars in six months!” Shiraz revealed, “I was able to sell the company at 3 million just after a year and a half, I could have held on to it but due to the uncertainty of COVID I had to do what I had to do.”
Fast forward to 2021, the 25-year-old is starting over and is ready to launch her next business venture in swim wear! “Nalia Swim” is a line designed by Nicole Shiraz that is inspired from her Australian roots but has an American twist to it. The self-made entrepreneur hopes to change the way people see swimwear by creating her own luxury brand that makes a statement!
“Traditionally swimwear used to be something you would wear to the beach or pool but in today’s generation swimwear has become like a fashion statement.” Shiraz explains, “Women are wearing swimwear more and more to parties and events. I wanted to make a swimwear line for women to feel confident when walking into that environment by standing out from the rest and not just wearing a simple swimsuit.”
Nalia Swim is a one stop shop that will have every woman feeling their best! The line made for all body types, Shiraz reveals each piece is created with a spandex material to compliment women of all shapes and sizes! The line is out now and is available worldwide! You will find pieces that range from $79.99 to $169.99.
In the future, Shiraz hopes to see her pieces on artists such as Cardi B, DaniLeigh, and Rubi Rose! She admits these artists represent exactly what “Nalia Swim” is all about, feeling confident and empowered together as women!
