Tunes By Shy Is Making Bold Moves

Written By: Jessica Oh

Introducing the new Hip Hop artist to the stage: Tunes By Shy! His unique name came from him creating an acronym for himself. Shy stands for sincere, humble, and youth-hearted, and he lives by his name as he hopes to bring back the feeling of soul and free emotion. This new and passionate artist released his first project last year after witnessing the death of George Floyd online.

When asked what his vision was on how to connect with audiences, Shy said, “I want to place meaningful music and inject my sound into other music with hooks, beats, or lyrics as a producer and songwriter.” Besides music, Shy enjoys meditation, prayer, and writing. This is only the beginning for Tunes By Shy, and we are so excited to see what he has coming next. Learn more about Tunes By Shy below!

Who have you worked with & who would you like to work with next?

Currently, I have worked with artists such as SLO>NO and Bayou Youngin, plus Tez4Real and Maize. I would like to work for J. Prince, Jay Z, Big U, Future, and Steve Lobel.

What is the audience you reach for?

Give me the YOUTH. The gangster and entrepreneurs.

Describe your Image:

I think I’m a big homie from the standpoint of someone who lived in it, had it change me, and transitioned me into a new light for the youth off their support of my transition.

\Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

Being bigger then I am today by building a legacy outside of my own as an executive. I stay present! I just want to be the best me at the moment!

When you are not in the studio and/or working, what are some things that you enjoy doing?

Meditation, Prayer, and I write. I love to spend time with my family, cook, play, and travel to eat!

What advice do you have to youth who want to pursue a career in music?

Fail forward, fail often, fail uncomfortably! Success will be measured by how you overcome obstacles rather than how you hide them.
