What inspired your artist name? And where did you get the name from?
People would always tells me im Jiggy with rap flow & dance moves so I came up with Jiggz.
Where are you from (born and raised)? And where did you grow up?
Born & raised in Miami, Fl. But my parents are Cuban/ Dominican. So i’m repping Latinos.
When did you start doing music? And when did you start taking it seriously?
I started recording when I was 18 but i didnt start taking it seriously till 2017
Why music? Describe your passion.
Music is the way I express myself. It’s the only way I let out my emotions because I tend to bottle things up unless I’m in front of a mic. It also was the perfect alternative to sports due to not being able to play football anymore. So i also have a competitive nature in music as well & strive to always be a better version of myself as an artist.
What impact are you looking to make with your music? Who do you want to impact?
I plan to make a positive impact in a way where when people listen to my music they feel a certain way of themselves in a positive light. I want to be that artist that can switch your mood in a positive way. I want to impact everyone who takes a listen.
In your opinion, what makes you stand out from other/current artists out there?
most definitely my delivery & my authenticity. There is no one in the industry that sounds like me. I have a smooth voice that can change up depending on the track. I’m also bilingual and throw some spanish in there. I don’t approach any beat the same. My rythem matches the beats I hop on.
When it comes to your career, what are you most proud of that you have accomplished thus far?
I have 4 TV placement on major Netflix/HBO shows. The shows are daredevil, the chi, the grand army & short film called Holler.
What are you currently working on? Do you have a new project that is out now or coming out soon?
Im currently working on another solo EP along with 5 music videos in the works. My solo project dropping on April 9th called “Jiggyworld” & my collab EP with Zy official called “Take One Vol. 1”
